Beautiful Day

  • Mood:
  • Music:
What a great day, the sun is shining and there is a nice gentle breeze.  The Shepherds are laying out in the grass soaking up the warm sunshine.  Our puppies are sleeping in their whelping box and the world is calm.  As I sit here listening to some soft music it makes me reamember how thankful I am to be living on our small farm.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

  • Mood:

Wow the last couple of weeks have been really busy on the farm.  Our adorable two little puppies are getting big and have had their first de-worming.  They are sooooo cute.  All of our older dogs  and cats have had their flea and tick meds and are being scheduled for their vet checkups.  The horses and goats are getting their de-wormings and loving the fresh green grass.

I have been studying up for my Beauty Advisor Certificate and learning all about becoming an Independant AVON Sales Rep.  I have been meeting new people and re-visiting with some I haven't seen in a while.  I have always loved playing with makeup and hair, so this is just another natural fit for me. Although a little scary, it has been loads of fun.

Spring time on the Farm

I just love spring time on the farm and can't wait for it to get here.  I am sure there are many of you that feel the same way.  It seems like the "spring fever" just hit me over the last week and I am so anxious to get outside and spruce up the landscaping, buildings and animals.  Yes, we even spruce up the animals, hooves get trimmed on the goats, baths become more frequent for the dogs, horses are brushed more and the pens and cages get a good cleaning.  You may say it sounds like too much work, but to tell the truth I would much rather be outside doing that kind of work than being inside anyday.  What is your favorite spring time activity?

I MUST HAVE THE WORD SAP WRITTEN ON MY FOREHEAD!

There is no doubt that I am an animal lover, I even have a sign on my fireplace matel that says the more people I know the more I love my dogs.  He He!  It seems like everyone who decides they no longer want their pets or know someone who doesn't want their pets come to me.  My latest acquisition is 11 ringneck doves.  I have a co-worker who's brother moved and just left them behind. Why do people act as if animals are just to be thrown away like trash?  It really erks me that our society has so little regard for life, wether it be human or animals.  What are your thoughts??
